Hand in Hand  is an initiative designed for Center ISD to help promote a safer learning environment.

Allowing unwanted, hurtful behavior can severely hinder a student’s growth and performance; but by working together, we can pave the way for students to feel comfortable and free from harmful student behavior. Center ISD  does not support, encourage, nor tolerate any behavior that prevents others from being able to reach his or her full potential.

Hand in Hand gives parents and students a way to reach out for help without feeling threatened or intimidated.  By using our online reporting system, a victim is assured of confidentiality and a confidence that appropriate action will be taken. If you are aware of an incident of concern, you may complete the confidential form on the Center ISD website or contact a school employee to initiate a report.  Unwanted behavior, including verbal and/or physical bullying or Cyberbullying will not be tolerated. 

At Center ISD, we strive to enhance a student’s learning experience through our district's philosophy and student initiated program, Hand in Hand,  so that each student will have the best opportunity to succeed.

“Center ISD does not tolerate acts of harassment.  Any student who believes that he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment, including gender-based harassment, should report the harassment to the District’s Title IX Coordinator, Superintendent Dr. Brian Morris, at 936-598-5642. 

The District is committed to promptly investigating all allegations of sexual harassment, including gender-based harassment. Students and/or staff who have been found to have engaged in acts of harassment based on sex, including gender-based harassment, will be promptly disciplined, with such discipline to include, if circumstances warrant, suspension or expulsion for students and termination of employment for staff.
