	Fifth Grade Teachers
	Kimberly Lambert - Ms. Lambert teaches 5th grade Math and Science. She has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with specialization in Math and Reading. A Masters degree in Middle school Mathematics (Grades 4-8) Graduated from SFASU in 1998 with BS and in 2006 with Masters. She has been teaching 5th grade math and science at Center Intermediate for 3 years, previously taught in Timpson, Math, Reading, LA, Science, and Special Education grades 6-8. 	Shasta Briggs - Ms. Briggs teaches 5th grade Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. Ms. Briggs attended Stephen F. Austin where she attained her Bachelor's degree. She is a certifed to teach 4 - 8 grade general studies. She worked for 2-1/2 years as paraprofessional serving Severe Profound at Logansport, LA. She is married with two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
	Tara Harris - Ms. Harris teaches 5th grade Math and Science. She graduated from Tenaha High School and went on to Panola where she got her Associates, and Stephen F. Austin State University where she received her Bachelor's. This will be her first year to teach. Her student teaching was done in Carthage, K and 3rd grades. She has been married to her husband, Dalton,for seven years, they live in Cathage with two sons, Dalton and Jasper. She loves scrapbooking, camping, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with her family. Her favorite movie is "Cars". Her favorite book is "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" By Judi Barrett. (The movie comes out in theaters on 9-18-9) She says: "I am so excited to be a member of this campus. Everyone on this campus is so helpful. I am so anxious to help my students be sucessful in Math and Science."
	Linda Moody - Ms. Moody teaches 5th grade Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies Grades 1-8 with specialization in Reading Grades 1-8. Ms. Moody has been teaching in Center for 3 years, she previously taught in Cleveland, Texas 4th grade, and in Lousiana 6,7,8th grade Special Education. She has been married 36 years with two children and 4 grandchildren. Her son Chad is a Physician's Assistant at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston, Texas and her Daughter a CPA for Brookshire Brothers in Lufkin, Texas. Her Husband is the pastor of the Strickland Crossing Church of God in Pineland, Texas. Ms. Moody enjoys fishing and hunting and spending time with her family.
	Julie Goodwin - Ms. Goodwin teaches 5th Grade Math and Science. She has a Bachelor of Social Work and 1st - 6th Grade Teacher Certification. She worked for seven years as a paralegal - Legal assistant to a Lawyer, ten years in social work, and three years as a substitute teacher, before becoming a full time teacher with Center Intermediate. She loves to read and make things. She has two wonderful sons who keep her very busy with sports activities.
	Karen Belrose - Ms. Belrose teaches 5th grade Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. She graduated from Panola Jr. College and Stephen F.Austin. She taught 3rd grad in Broaddus for 4 years and has been teaching 4th grade at Center Intermediate for the past 3 years. She says: " To be a teacher you have to love what you do and I certainly do."
	Kynda Bradshaw - Ms. Bradshaw teaches 5th grade Math and Science. She is a 2006 graduate of SFA. Before working for Center Intermediate School, Ms. Bradshaw, worked for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, and Shelby County Tax Office.
	Laree Greer - Ms. Greer teaches Reading, Language Arts, and Social studies. She received her Associate of Arts at Panola College, and went on to complete her studies at SFA earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2000. While working on her degree she held an extended substitute pre-K position at Excelsior School. Upon graduating she accepted a position at Broaddus Elementary Campus teaching 6th grade for two years and 1st grade for one year. In 2003, she was hired at Center Intermediate School and taught 4th grade Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies, She is now in her second year of teaching 5th grade and loves it. She has three children, one son, and two daughters and is the proud grandmother of five grandchildren. She loves Shelby County and teaching here. Some of her hobbies are reading, walking, going to church, and especially spending time with her family.
	Fourth Grade Teachers
	Karen Fallin- Ms. Fallin teaches 4th Grade Language Arts, Reading, and Writing, and Social Studies. She is a graduate of "Center" High School and attended Stephen F. Austin/Sam Houston State graduating with a Bachelors of Art - Elementary Education Degree. She began teaching in 1983 at Ride Elementery in the Woodlands - teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades for over 25 years. She has two daughters. Both daughters have graduated; one is attending SFA and the other resides in Austin. She has one son who is attending Center ISD. She loves outdoor country living, cooking, reading, and spending time with family. Her hobbies include antique shopping, riding horses, and ALL sports.
	Theresa Latham -teaches 4th grade Math and Science. Ms, Latham attended both Panola Junior College and Stephen F. Austin University. At SFA she received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Ms. Latham has taught for over 15 years in a PK - 4 campus. She has 5 children and 6 grand children, and they are the joy of her life. She enjoy's cooking and spending time with her sweet husband.
	Penny Bird - teaches 4th grade Math and Science.
	Amber Phelps - teaches Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. Ms. Phelps grew up in Joaquin and graduated from Joaquin High School. She attended Panola Junior College for 2 years, and then 2 years at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches where she attained her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has taught 3rd grade 2 years at Center ISD, and currently strarting her second year at 4th grade here at Center Intermediate School. She is recently married, and enjoys watching movies and reading magazines.
	Dominique Roland - teaches 4th grade Math and Science. Ms. Roland attended and graduated from Tenaha High school, and then went to Stephen F. Austin University. At SFA she attained her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing in 4- 8th English Language Arts & Reading. She has taught at Center for one year, and is starting her second year. Her hobbies include being and avid reader and becoming a convert to excercise.
	Karen Albert - teaches 4th grade Math and Science.
	Solomon Cassell - Mr. Cassell teaches 4th grade Math and Science. He has attended Panola and SFA, getting his Bachelors of Arts from SFA, majoring in Language Arts and minoring in Agricultural Mechanics. He has worked for Center Intermediate School two years and worked half a year at Center Elementary. As a college student he worked at Brookshire Brothers and a car body shop, in high school he worked for General Shelters and PortaCool. He has been married for 2 1/2 years to Jenny Cassell and has a one year old daughter named Savannah Lynde Cassell. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and to build and work on things.
	Laura Chandler- Ms. Chandler an alumni of Stephen F. Austin State University and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society. She graduated from SFA in 2005 with a bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies. She and her husband and were married in June 2008. They live in Center with Lady, their Cocker Spaniel. Ms. Martinez says "She's rotten, but we love her anyway". The have three adorable red headed nieces, and one nephew. Ms. Martinez adores being outside. She says it's refreshing to take an outdoor jog, or play around in a garden. She is also into water sports like kayaking. Her favorite place to be is at the beach with a book in hand. This is her first year to teach fourth grade. She taught 1st grade for three years, and student taught 2nd grade and kindergarten at Carthage. 	Connie Belrose - teaches 4th and 5th grade Reading Enrichment lab. She attended Panola Jr. College, Texas A & M and graduated from SFA in 1980 with a Bachelor's in Education. She later returned to earn her Masters. She taught 4 years before coming to Center. Her hobbies include playing with her grandchildren, shopping, playing the piano, and singing with her husband and family.
	Sharon Crelia- 4th and 5th Reading Lab- Ms. Crelia graduated from Center High School. She earned her Masters in Education from SFA. She has taught in Center, Texas for 28 years. For 22 years she taught 5th grade LA and Social Studies, then moved into her present position in the Reading Lab, where she enjoys working with small groups. She says, "The more individual instruction I feel helps the students that have reading problems." She has been married for 35 years, with three children and three grandchildren.
	Sharron Shanz - teaches 4th and 5th Language Arts and Math resource classes. Ms. Shanz graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is certified in Special Ed. in grades K - 12, and Elementary Ed. in grades 1 - 8. She has taught 7 years, all here in Center ISD. She started at the High School, and then worked at the Middle School before coming to the Intermediate School. She is retired from a career in business. Her hobbies include creating stained glass art pieces, creating mosiac pieces, and jewelry making. She shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 children and her mom.
	Bill Scott - teaches 4th and 5th grade Fine Arts and co-teaches GT. Mr. Scott graduated from Southern Arkansas Univsersity with a Bachelor's in Musical Education. He has worked as a professional musician, High School Band Director and Director of Fine Arts at Grace Community School in Tyler, TX, and taught General Music for 5th grade at Lindale ISD, and as a Band Director at Cayuga ISD. Mr. Scott has also worked as a Petroleum landman. He enjoys music of all genres, and sports. He loves BIG hamburgers and Diet Dr. Pepper.
	Cortney Kuban - Ms. Kuban instructs P.E. Instructor on the Intermediate Campus and Coaches Middle School Girls Sports. She has a BS in Kinesiology from SFA. She started her teaching job with CISD in August of 2005.
	Luciana Lawson Barr - Ms. Barr is the District Dyslexia Coordinator for CISD. She graduated from Center High School and went on to get her B.S. in Education/Reading Specialization and M.E.D. in Education. She has worked for Center ISD for 26 years. Of those years she has taught Language Arts and Social Studies, 4th, 5th, 6th grades. The past five years she has worked with all grade levels. She is married to Charles Barr and has two sons. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Society, and of the First Baptist Church in Center.
	Kris Rash - 4th and 5th Grade Science Lab and co-teaches GT - She graduated from Shelbyville H.S., attended Kilgore Junior College and SFA to earn a BS in Ed. and has taught 16 years in Center, at C.H. Daniels and Center Intermediate ---Math and Science-- She has been married for 19 years and has 3 beautiful children. Her hobbies include gardening and reading.
	Thelma Smith - Content Mastery - earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Reading and an Endorsement in Special Education.  Mrs. Smith is in her 11th year of teaching at Center ISD.  She teaches in the Content Mastery Lab.  Mrs. Smith also co-developed the Content Mastery Program at Center Intermediate School.

	Patty Davis - Ms. Davis teaches 4th and 5th grade ESL. Ms. Davis graduated from Center High School in 1976 and received her Bachelor of Science and Mast er's degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She has worked for Center ISD for 28 years. She is married to Howard Davis of Shelbyville and have 2 sons, a daughter-in-law and one grand child. She is looking forward to teaching ESL this year as this is her first year teaching this subject.
	Arthur Bush - teaches 4th and 5th grade Life Skills. Mr. Bush received his Associates degree from NorthWestern State University, and his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from McNeese State University. His Bachelor's degree is in Mass Communication, and his Master's degree is in Special Education. His hobbies are table tennis, basketball, weightlifting, traveling and listening to music. Mr. Bush has also served as a sportswriter for the San Augustinbe Tribune.
	Tracy Bolton - At Risk Coordinator
	Beverly Martin - teaches 4th and 5th grade Math Lab. Math lab helps students become more fluent in mathematics and problem solving. Mrs. Martin is a proud 1980 graduate of Center High School. She completed her Bachelors of Science from Stephen F. Austin University in 1982, and her Master's in Education 1985. Mrs. Martin has taught more that 25 years in public education, with most of those years here in Center, TX. Mrs. Martin enjoys her time away from school with her 3 daughters and husband. Her daughters are all graduates of Center High School, and are currently working on their undergraduate degrees or master's degrees at various colleges.
	Support Personnel
	Sharon Bradshaw - Office/Secretary to Principal - Ms. Bradshaw graduated from New Caney High School and has taken several bookkeeping and computer classes at Panola College. She also completed classes at Tall Timbers Banking College. She worked Retail in Houston for 10 years before moving to Center where she worked 15 years as a bank/lending Secretary. Ms. Bradshaw has been with Center ISD as Secretary to the Principal for eleven years. She is married with one daughter, one son, one stepdaughter, and one stepson. She has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ms. Bradshaw enjoys reading, shopping, church, camping, and family get togethers.
	Daniel Archer - Computer Lab Aide - Graduated from Texas A & M Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in Science with a major in Elementary Education and Reading. He has also graduated from Paris Junior College with an Associate in Science in Business Information Systems. He has taught for 11 years in Public schools. He has been married for 14 years, and has 3 wonderful kids. He enjoy's learning new things on the computer, reading, and listening to all kinds of music. VISIT THE COMPUTER LAB PAGE.
	Clara Dergin - C.E.I. Lab Aide - Focus on Reading. Ms. Dergin graduated from High School and went on to 1 1/2 years of College. She has been with Center ISD for 24 years. Ms. Dergin has been married for 7 years, she has 2 children and several grandchildren.
	Shelia Childress -  Library Aide - Ms. Childress graduated Center High School in 1982, she took 2 years at Panola College. For 15 years Ms. Childress worked at Center Floral/Tucker Floris in Floral Design, she spent many years in retail. Ms. Childress owned Gables/Home Decorating and Wedding Consulting for five years. She has worked for Center ISD for the past five years. She has been married to John Childress for ten years, has two children, Johna, who teaches in Taylor, Texas and Wil a freshman @ NSU in Natchtoches, Lousiana. In Ms. Childress's spare time she loves the beach.
	Kay Waterhouse - Content Mastery Aide - Ms. Waterhouse graduated from C.H. Daniels and attended Prairie View A & M Cikkege acquiring a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She has worked with Special Ed Coop for many years and Center ISD for 28 years. She loves animals, she has three cats and a dog. They are Ghost, Goblin, Cameron, and Dollar. They all live in the house with me. She has one son who is 22. She likes kids and enjoys hearing some of the answers they give to questions. She gets over joyed when they try hard to do something and the light comes on. They get excited. Its like - "OH I got it now!" They look like they are saying.
	Bebee Metcalf - PEIMS, Office Aide - Ms. Metcalf has worked in the front office at Center Intermediate School for ten years. She graduated High School and has two years of College. Before coming to CIS Ms. Metcalf was a Branch Manager for a Savings and Loan in Houston ten years. She is married and has two sons.
	Angelica Arcibar - ESL Aide Ms. Arcibar graduated from Center High School in 2003, and is now attending Panola College. After Panola, she will transfer to Stephen F. Austin University to attain a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has worked for Center ISD for the past 4 years. Ms. Arcibar enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and her hobbies include shopping, cooking, and reading magazines.
	Wanda Price - Sac Aide. Mrs. Price is currently instructional aide at Center Intermediate. Shas numerous duties to benefit students. First, she helps students that need time out of class with their assignments in the SAC room. The majority of her time is spent in the Math Lab where she directs small groups to help students learn their math facts, solve problems,and reinforce the student's curriculum in 4th or 5th grade. Mrs. Price is a graduate of Shelbyville High School in 1965. She has been an instructional aide for 16 years in various school districts. The past 8 years she has worked for Center ISD. Mrs. Price loves to garden, cook, and take care of others. She is the "Mama" of Center Intermediate because she takes care of all the students and staff.
	Karie Abshire - Life Skills Aide  Ms. Abshire has attained her paralegal degree and paraproffesional degree. She served as an aide in Georgia, before moving to Germany to serve as an aide in SPecial Education. She has 3 daughters, and lives on a farm. Her hobbies include going to rodeo's and hunting for hogs with dogs. She also loves to fish, and go th the deer camp and bow hunt and rifle hunt.
	Mayra Mendoza - Content Mastery Aide - Ms. Mendoza went to school at Shelbyville, homeschooling my senior year. She has worked as a substitute teacher for a while and was then hired on as an aide for Content Mastery. She has two son's Seth and Nathan. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading poetry.
	Cherie Rudd - Ms. Rudd is Center Intermediate School's Nurse. She has worked for CISD for ten years, she is married with two daughters. She is a proud grandmother of a baby boy born 8/24/07.
	Alonzo Moore - Custodial Staff - Mr. Moore has worked at one of our local plants and in brick construction before coming to work for CISD where he has stayed for the past 17 years. He was born and raised in Shelby County where he met his wife of 34 years, and had two children, who are now grown, God also blessed him with one more child, a grandchild who lives with him. He loves to garden and grow flowers, he also likes to fish and hunt, he cleans the Church on Saturday's, and he says as we all know Sunday's belong to the Lord.
